A La Recherche du Temps d'Interest

Really, life is not the non-stop cavalcade that it usually is right now, so not much to report. This is largely down to Dad being here, which is fun but limits our options when it comes to anything folk might be interested in. Summed up, we've been watching lots of movies, eating at the Hog's Breath Cafe, and trying the odd bushwalk along tracks in the local area.

We did go see the marvellous Bonnie 'Prince' Billy at the Annandale, and had a new experience for me in Oz; we unexpectedly ran into a mate who was there at the same gig. The unexpected bumping into experience is always good, but I don't know enough people here for it to work very often - it's even less likely than in London.

Speaking of London, we're already getting heavily booked up for our return in early Jan - a full itinerary of where we'll be on any given night (i.e. which pub) will be sorted out nearer the time.

Bookwise I'm up to #79 on the list, having just finished the wonderful but long 'The Way We Live Now', and I'm reading a couple of shorties to refresh the brain. Then it's on to one of the members of the axis of evil; Proust (eek!), who is joined in the unholy trio by James (aaargh!) and Richardson (yeurgh!). Wish me luck.
